Consultancy for "Comprehensive Market
Assessment of Pakistan's Textile Industry"
As a federal enterprise, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ)
GmbH supports the German Government in achieving its objectives in the field of
international cooperation for sustainable development. GIZ-Pakistan through its project on
"Improving labour, social and environmental standards in Pakistanis textile industry-II"
is a strategic initiative designed to navigate the challenges and aimed at enhancing
sustainability within Pakistanis textile sector. By fostering collaboration and capacity-
building initiatives among stakeholders, the project seeks to improve labour conditions,
environmental practices, ensuring sustainable development of textile industry of Pakistan.
This Call for Proposals seeks the participation Higher Education Commission recognized
Universities to conduct a comprehensive market assessment of Pakistan's textile industryt
assessing the cu state concerning ecological balance, social responsibility, and
economic capability, with a view to identifying demands, challenges and priorities of the
textile industry of Pakistan.
Only interested Universities that have the following required experience and
qualification may apply:

The University must have Textile backOUnd or dedicated department or center for
textile.
Has overall experience of at least 10:years in the area of applied research
Has implemented at leasttwosi ilarresearch assignment in textile and fashion industry
of Pakistan in past 5 years.
The university must be acte axpayer and sales tax registered. If they are exempt then
proper exemption docu
t should be submitted with the documents.
The above stated criteria re compulsory and if any criteria are not met, the University
will not qualify for further assessment.
General Requirements:
All other requirem nts are provided in the details terms of reference.
The university ust submit their technical and financial proposals as per the Bidding
Documents. Interested firms can request the bidding documents by emailing their requestto

documents will be shared via email on 4th July 2024. Please clearly mention the reference
number (Ref No. 83468136) in the subject-line.
Technical and Financial Proposals should be submitted separately in a sealed envelope.
When submitting proposals, interested firms should clearly mention the title "Tender
